Cooter Dee's August Newsletter

Hello Dancers and Country Music Fans,

Gosh, it seems like only yesterday I started the Superkingsize Doral Cigarette Tour and it’s almost come to an end! We have been promoting Doral’s along with my latest album, "Before I Became A Star" which consists of lots of music I toyed with before I released my first album.  It also includes live concert footage from my early days playing at the Biloxi Tasty Pup parking lot.  Folks will tell you that it’s one of the absolutely greatest albums I’ve ever come up with.   This one has 93 tracks on it!  Each are only 30 seconds long, but I promise you will like each and every song!

George Wendt from the Cheers TV show has taken up a job handling all of my Press for my latest tour.  He’s great and works for practically nothing.  George has been busy promoting me in the local Piggly Wiggly trade paper as well as a public radio station in Sweden, where my biggest fans seem to reside.  We also have a “Shoot The Counterfeiter” contest where you can win free tickets to my next upcoming show in Sweden!  (Air and Hotel not included.)

In Sweden, I got an opportunity to work with one of my new choreographers who did an updated version of my Wally The Widget dance. (Apparently none of you cared for the original.)  Her name is Inga Samson and what a pleasure she was. She is a real inspiration to Instructors and Choreographers of the future as she is one of the few that will still work with me. She really cares about me and the dancers first and her choreography comes second.  She doesn’t care if it’s off phrase, as long as it sells a few more albums for me.  People don’t want to spend the whole night remembering dances, so as long as they just remember mine and that’s fine by me!   I have 20 new dances coming out with the choreography already written, so we expect that everyone will be doing that throughout the rest of the year as I go on my Back to the Future tour!

The hit of the entire night was my rendition of "Don’t Go Breakin’ My Heart" that I performed with none other than Jo Ann Worley!  As everyone wanted to sing along and on several nights actually took the microphone out of my hands so they could sing it themselves.  (I wonder why didn’t they do that to Jo Ann?)

My newest Newsletter feature is to include a Spotlight Dance of The Month! This time, it is none other than Inga Samson’s newest dance done to my new remake of Elvis Presley’s Return To Sender.   (You can purchase the music for this dance for only $18.)   Step Sheets are also available with any music purchase, so get out your credit cards folks cause this one is going to be sold out rather quickly!

COOTER'S SPOTLIGHT DANCE OF THE MONTH CAME FROM INGA SAMSON!

I leave here and head to the Artic Circle where I will pick up my 3 piece Eskimo Pie band and work the Country Festival market starting with the Frozen Tundra Country Music Festival where I will be appearing with Marty Ingels.  Then it's back home to Biloxi where I will finish up my Hanukah Album to be released soon. Hope all of you still love me as much as I love you and I'll see at the Chicken Shack or somewhere close by.
