The Politics Of Dancing

Dancing continues to live on as a passion of mine, but I think over the years, I've come to realize that politics are so prevalent in the dance world and it really turns me off sometimes when people take advantage of the public resources available on the internet.  In the past, I let these politics get the best of me, but I think I've come to accept things for what they are and pretty much take things in stride these days and focus on the things that are important and that I enjoy. 

I'm not going to stop dancing by any means, but what was important to me in the past as far as spreading myself around at a large number of events and sharing as many dances as possible with as many people as possible with the hope that people will want to do them is no longer.  And while it is always appreciated when my Choreography is enjoyed, I've learned that the importance of promotion for the Choreography is not as prevalent to me as it once was.  I will continue to keep up the videos though as long as I have a resource to help me out, so please continue to check out the dances and let me know if you decide to give one of mine a try.

Unfortunately, I no longer will be traveling the country as much. I certainly will go to a few events here and there because I do like the camaraderie with folks across the country and seeing a lot of the national favorites done on the dance floor.   That really is where the importance of dancing is to me.  I also don't ever want to lose touch with all of the great folks that I've shared the dance floor with.
